Whether you’re an avocado toast type or prefer pancakes with a side of bacon, there’s no doubt that brunch is the best (made up) meal of the day. At Barber & Parlour on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch they serve brunch classics - plus a few surprises - on our Kitchen tableware. Sturdy and edged with a grey stripe, it’s made from high-fired, restaurant grade porcelain and is designed to be mixed with our crayon-coloured mugs and retro Bakelite-handled cutlery.

The range was inspired by classic American diner style, so do it justice by piling your plate with waffles and syrup and eggs over easy, or give things a twist with something fresh, colourful and delicious like our recipe for chia seeds with berries and granola.

Tofu Scramble

Ingredients (makes 5 portions)
500g Organic Tofu
2 tbs turmeric powder
2 tbs curry powder
Salt
Pepper
Lemon juice
5 beef tomatoes chopped into small pieces
2 cloves of garlic
2 tsp dried chilli flakes

To prepare the tofu mix together with the curry powder and turmeric and fry lightly in a pan with olive oil until it's heated through and a golden colour.
To make the sauce chop the beef steak tomatoes into small pieces, then cook with garlic and chilli in olive oil until they are softened.
Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve on your favourite bread, toasted.

Chia seeds, berries, granola

Ingredients (makes 12 portions)
1700ml almond milk
280g chia seeds
100ml agave syrup
50ml lemon juice
2g salt
Coconut yoghurt

Put all the ingredients together in a bowl and and stir until the mixture thickens and has a smooth consistency. Once that's done it needs to be sealed or covered and left in the fridge overnight.
Make sure there is space in the bowl/container as the mixture will expand over night.
It will be ready to serve the next day topped with the coconut yoghurt, granola and seasonal berries.

Green Man Smoothie

To recreate Barber & Parlour's Green Man smoothie, blend a House press green juice (that's kale, apple, cucumber, celery, pineapple, lemon, spinach, parsley and ginger) with banana, mint, honey and spirulina.

Kitchen Colourware

Our Kitchen stoneware is tough enough to withstand heat from microwaves and ovens and the cold in the fridge. As well as Shoreditch’s Barbour & Parlour, you'll find it in our Chicken Shop restaurants from Chicago to Holborn. We mix the coloured pieces with our white Kitchen plates and bowls for a relaxed, playful look.
