House Tip: Bring the House home

Capture the spirit of an overnight stay at our houses

Look to Soho Home for bedroom inspiration, complete with relaxed schemes, lighting, and game-changing accents - everything to enhance slumbers.

The bedroom

Spotlight your sleeping space with plenty of layers and plump pillows, but start with a good base. A natural, pocket-spring mattress helps regulate body temperature, which provides a good night's sleep.

Spare space

Try placing an armchair in a well-lit spot to inspire lounging and moments of reflection. The addition of a small table, blanket and an aromatic candle forms an inviting space, be it day or night.

Lighting

Double up on lighting for a mood-boosting ambience. Table lamps radiate soft pools of light, while wall-mounted variations provide direct rays, suitable for late-night reading. "In the Houses, all the bedroom lighting can be controlled from the bedside to save guests getting out of bed, which adds a relaxing note". - Siobahn Farley, Soho Home Lead Designer.

Accents

At our Houses, it's the small touches that have the biggest impact. Keep bud vases, sleep masks, and books bedside for a homely feel. A bench positioned at the foot of the bed brings a practical note - use it as a base to throw over a monogrammed House robe or silk pyjamas as an impromptu approach to bedroom styling.
