Twenty-four hours in Garraf, Barcelona

Photographer Georgina Millet and her sister, Ana, sunbathe on the terrace, take moonlit beach walks, and learn to cook seafood paella at Little Beach House Barcelona
Tables and chairs sit on a terrace overlooking a sandy beach with several people, umbrellas, and buildings on a rocky cliff in the background. The sea is calm, and skies are clear.

The light finally starts to go down, so we go to the beach to swim and hang out on the sand

12pm: check in

We arrive at our room, put our things down and take a minute to observe the stunning views from our window, which faces out onto the Balearic sea.

1pm: House tour

Next, we walk through the whole House, taking in every detail. The art, in particular, caught our eye - especially the painted ping-pong racquets. The House entrance was also a highlight. As soon as you enter, you see this huge window that looks out onto the sea.

A person stands on a balcony, shading their eyes with one hand and looking outwards, framed by the clean, modern lines of a white building under a clear sky.
A woman descends a spiral staircase, holding the handrail. The wooden steps lead down to a plant-filled, modern living space with shelves and cabinets. Light streams in from above.

2pm: tapas for lunch

We couldn't wait to try the tapas, so we order some of the daily specials. We chose sardines, which were incredibly tasty, accompanied by two very Spanish tapas dishes: pimientos del padrón and jamón.

4pm: siesta

After lunch, we head back to the room for a little siesta. My sister takes a short nap in our room while I edit some photos.

A hand picks a mussel from a bowl on a wooden table, alongside a drink with garnish, an empty plate, and a small tray of fried foods.
Person lying on a bed stretches their arms backwards, with their hair over the side. The bed has multiple pillows and a white blanket, situated in a cozy, warmly-lit room.

6pm: sunset on the sand

By now, the light finally starts to go down, so we go to the beach to swim and hang out on the sand.

White beach lounge chairs and large umbrellas are arranged in rows on sandy ground, providing shaded areas for sunbathing and relaxation at a beach.
A woman stands on a sandy beach near the ocean at sunset, surrounded by sun loungers and large, fringed umbrellas.

8pm: washing off the day

We take a relaxing bath in our room, and then get ready for Margaritas on the terrace.

9pm: cocktail hour

Before dinner, we sip on some Margaritas and chill out on the terrace to help us recover from the heat.

10pm: dinner

For dinner, we have octopus with potatoes, aioli and paprika, and then decide to stay out under the moonlight for a walk on the beach.

11pm: bedtime

We're tired after our day in the sun, so we hop into bed before midnight.

A person lounges on a cushioned seat under a striped canopy, reading a tablet, with a sailing boat on the distant sea forming the serene background.
A modern bedroom features a large bed and two armchairs, looking out through glass doors onto a balcony with an ocean view, creating a serene coastal atmosphere.

8am: good morning

We wake up and take a walk along the beach to enjoy the early morning light.

9am: breakfast

For breakfast, we have the BEST pancakes and avocado toast - this is always a must at Soho House.

An arm extends from a bed to turn off a black alarm clock on a wooden bedside table, which also holds a beige radio and a lamp.
A woman in a checkered bikini sits on an indoor bench, holding a mug and gazing outside at the ocean through a glass door. Furniture and beach view in the background.

10am: morning swim

We have to get in one last dip before we leave, so we go back to the beach for a swim in the sea.

1pm: paella class

Little Beach House chef, Alessio Biangini, gives us a private cooking class. We learn how to make the one and only Spanish paella with heaps of fresh seafood. Believe it or not, it tastes even better than it looks.

3pm: check out

Time to say goodbye.
