Following the success of our first collaboration with Turnell & Gigon, we were delighted to be asked to work on a second pop-up space at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.

In contrast to spring’s opulent, feminine set inspired by the bedrooms at Babington House, for Autumn/Winter 2017 our design team created a bar-come-lounge area more reminiscent of the club spaces in our Houses. This is the ultimate entertainment room, complete with a bar stocked with Barwell crystal, home cinema and dining and lounge areas.

Described as ‘Art Deco meets tribal chic’ by Turnell & Gigon, the space is a celebration of print and pattern with a colour palette of rich golds, greens and browns adding to the distinctive ‘70s flavour. We achieved the same balance that we use in the Houses by mixing in vintage with new furniture pieces.

As with the first project, our furniture pieces were reimagined in Turnell & Gigon’s upholstery fabrics. Our Alice sofa upholstered in Clarence House ‘Ellington’ fabric makes a bold statement, as does our Shanon chaise in ‘Saibo’ by Raoul Textiles. The home cinema area was inspired by our Electric cinemas and the screening rooms in the Houses, with our Cinema chair (in Clarence House’s ‘Genoa’ velvet), cashmere blankets, side tables and lamps making for a cosy, cocooning experience.

At Soho Home we know how important entertaining is – that’s why we have a vintage bar (inspired by the ones at Soho Beach House, Miami) showcasing our new Barwell crystal champagne flutes, crystal bowls and brandy glasses. In the window you’ll also see a preview of our new Burleigh collection for The Ned – available online in November.

The pop-up will be at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour until January so explore the space and see Soho Home in a new light.
