This original, hand-woven abstract collage is made using a mix of materials, including mohair, silk and seed beads, stretched over tension bars so the pattern extends completely around the canvas.
Woven textile artist Meghan Spielman creates each of her artworks using unconventional and highly tactile materials like silk boucle, brushed mohair, glass seed beads, and chenille. Applying colour asymmetrically, she keeps the comfort and familiarity of timeless patterns while transforming them into something far from everyday.
