About Velvet Rust
- Fabric:
- Velvet
- Composition:
- 100% Linen Inner - 95% Feather, 5% Down
Fabric properties:
Velvet is a staple fabric found in many of our Houses around the world. Its tactile nature and deep pile enhance colour depth, bringing a rich, vibrant quality to your chosen design.
- 85% cotton velvet with a matte finish
- Short pile with dense fibres that reflect light differently depending on placement
- Non-directional pile allows brushing or rubbing either way without changing tone
- Naturally soft for a comfortable finish
- Traditionally crafted from high-cotton blends for year-round comfort - warm in winter, cool in summer
- Produced in a European mill dedicated exclusively to high-quality velvets
- OEKO-TEX compliant
- Durable 40,000 rub count* makes it ideal for slightly busier homes
*The Martindale rub test measures how many times a fabric can be rubbed before showing wear. A higher count indicates greater durability.
Details & Dimensions
The artwork of our Dilip cushion takes inspiration from traditional Indonesian Ikat tapestries, which we love to layer around Soho Farmhouse. First hand-painted exclusively in-house, it is then printed in Italy on a woven linen, with solid piping for a refined finish. Complement the rust colour palette with other colours, patterns and fabrics from our upholstery range. All of our cushions/throw pillows come with a feather and down Okeo-tex certified pad.
