Created using oil, charcoal and conte, this canvas recreates the marks, lines and shapes the artist made in the wet sand of her hometown beach.
Part of a series of original landscapes that takes inspiration for its title from a poem by W.B. Yeats. The artwork itself draws on the artist's memories of the landscape in the area she grew up, and so 'the canvas becomes the beach that served as the canvas of my childhood'.
Day Bowman often takes inspiration from the coastal landscape of a childhood spent growing up in a 'holiday destination seaside town'. The recipient of multiple awards, her artworks are a mix of abstract and figurative paintings that experiment with different mediums.

For small items, we include a FedEx free returns label on the
exterior packaging of all our US orders. Simply attach the pre-paid
label to the front of your parcel and take your return to any FedEx
drop off point - you can find your nearest one here.
Please include your original dispatch note within your return
parcel. If you are missing any paperwork, or your order was packed
into multiple boxes and you would like to return the entire order,
please contact our Soho Support team.
Soho Home cannot accept responsibility for lost returns packages, so please keep hold of your proof of postage receipt to ensure that your return reaches us successfully.
